Baba Ghundi
Thousands of years ago, Baba Gundi, whose real name was Muhammad Baqar, migrated from Afghanistan to Chapursan Valley to preach Islam.
His main miracle is a story of sin and retribution that he performed in Chapursan valley. The valley was once a sin-filled valley. Baba Ghundi came here and asked for alms from house to house. None but one old woman gave him food. Baba Ghundi told her to leave her house going up a hill. Soon afterwards she saw the saint riding at the front of a big flood that wiped the valley and its people out in punishment for their sinful lives.
Mir Ghazin Khan built Baba Ghundi Ziarat in 1924 so the shrine serves merely as a memorial.
Hundreds of people from various parts of G-B visit Baba Gundi’s shrine every year for spiritual benefaction.
Many functions are also held at the site every year to pray tribute to the saint.
