visit in Hunza:
Hunza is like hub of tourism and the every place of it is
very attractive.
Altit Hunza:
In Altit there are many beautiful places to visit. Thousand year old Altit fort is one of the regions oldest standing monuments and evidence of the valley’s feudal regime. Traditionally it is home to the Mir of Hunza. It is also use as a cultural center and museum. At Altit there are also famous hotels to visits like eagle nest hotel, Hard rock hotel. You can also enjoy the sunset view from Noor Touq.The timber-and-stone watchtower from the days of war with Nager is also an attraction for the tourist.
There are four richly carved wooden mosques, 100 to 200 years old mosques belongs to four tribes in Ganish, built when Muslims came after Buddist.
Sacred rocks are located in Haldekish, near to the Ganish Hunza,
the rock is 30 feet high and 200 yards long moreover rocks are divided into two
parts upper and lower portion carry carvings on them which are basically
inscriptions and images from Pre-Historic era. The sacred rocks can further
divided into 4 parts.
The upper portion of the rock consist of inscriptions which are carved in Sogdian, Kharosthi, Brahmi, Sarada and Proto Sarada languages.
The lower portion is engraved by the images of Ibexes. These
ibexes are shown in different situations, including being hunted. The carvings
also contain Horned-Human deities playing with the ibexes. The carvings of the
Ibexes are a proof of the ibex being an animal which holds cultural importance to
Buddhists as well as to the region in ancient times.
The Department of Archeology of the Government of Pakistan
hopes to preserve and protect these rock carvings. Even so, visitors have free
and easy access to the site.
Hussain Abad Sost Tunnel:
Hussain Abad Sost Tunnel is a wonder place in Upper Hunza to
visit. It is a great example of hardship, unity and success. This wonder place
in Hunza provides the visitors to experience the dignity of work and community
participation.
